Founder Board

The idea of establishing the association first came up in May 2002, during our first picnic in Albuquerque where over 40 people who then lived in Albuquerque showed up. Only 10 of the attendants were UNM students. Then, in August, the association was established formally with the efforts of "Muhtar" Ahmet Abi (our honorary president) , Taner (president) , Efe (vp), Arzum (vp), Ünal (secretary) , Ömer (treasurer), Sezi (social activities director) and İsmail (information systems manager) and other Turkish people who encouraged them. Since then, we have been trying to gather for different kinds of activities, where everyone can join whether Turkish or not. You are very welcome to join our activities. Just send us an e-mail.
